Tiff: What Social Media Is To Me…

To celebrate World Social Media Day (June 30th), here at Ibiza Creative Club we are all taking a moment to reflect on our own personal story and experiences with Social Media, the impact it has on us, the world and the future of human connection. Read Tiff’s little story below:

"I used to have a different relationship with social media. Since starting off as a blogger and influencer, I used to struggle with comparison between myself and my peers, an unhealthy habit that so many people fall into the trap of doing. I still do sometimes, and so I make sure to only fill my feeds with positive people and content that adds value to me and my life. This isn’t always easy, so I regularly have to check in on my relationship with my social media feeds.

Now, as Ibiza Creative Club, I can see how social media is paramount for a business and look at it in a different light. Social media is there to be social, so I always urge my clients to think about it in that way. It was created to keep people connected, not to just sell a product or a service, and that is something we all sometimes forget.

In the future - who knows what will happen? We see changes in how social media is used and consumed every single day. Keeping up with the times is all that we can do - but one thing we will always do at Ibiza Creative Club is believe that positivity will always shine over those that use social media simply to bring others down or make them feel bad about themselves.”
